Boy attacked by raccoon while walking to school, neighbor rushes to help

Meanwhile, neighbor Dan Walls heard the noise outside his house and rushed to the boy's aid.
Walls threw the raccoon to the ground and then hit the animal with a stick until it was dead.
The 6-year-old was taken to the hospital and given 9 stitches.
Results of a rabies test performed on the raccoon are expected on Friday.
