Dwyane Wade on Adjustments and Game Plans

Dwyane Wade has seemingly been on a tear lately, averaging more than 25 points over his last three games while making more than half his shots from the field. But according to his son, Zaire, something's been missing. Luckily, the 13-year-old had some tremendous words of encouragement for his dad after Tuesday's game in Brooklyn.

After a win against the Nets, Zaire sent a lengthy text to the Heat star, which was later shared on Instagram (with Wade's permission, of course -- despite how embarrassed Zaire may now be), via the Miami Herald's Ethan Skolnik.

After getting over the fact that Wade's son calls him "man" and "big dog," this message is pretty incredible -- and shows that Zaire really knows the game of basketball, as well as his father's tendencies on the court.

Perhaps the best line (edited for clarity):

"And stop being so hard on yourself, most importantly, play for a passion. It seems you're playing like someone is making you. Now go out there and give it your all and play like it's your last game of the season..."

Pretty cool stuff from the Wade family. For fun: Here are two photos. The first is of Zaire joining Dwyane on the court earlier this season. The second was taken while Dwyane was being introduced as a member of the Miami Heat in 2003.
