Officials have been more vocal in countering what they say are rumors that Noah's family had something to do with his disappearance. One sheriff told reporters "Don't start rumors ... We need help, not hindrance."

Volunteers have come from across the country to help with the search. However, law enforcement officials have put their search efforts on hold in the face of severe weather threats.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has also joined in the search for Noah. He was reported missing after walking in the woods with his grandmother and 4-year-old sister.
