Service Dog Helps Anxious Bride Stay Calm In Viral Photo

Service dogs go above and beyond the regular canine role of being man's – and woman's – best friend.

A photo of South Dakota bride Valerie Parrott being calmed by her pup on her wedding day is quickly making its way around the Internet, warming hearts along the way.

Parrott suffers from anxiety and migraines, and her dog, Bella, helps her keep the issues under control. Bella is specially trained to alert Parrott when episodes are brewing, which gives her time to take the needed preventative measures.

Weddings can be stressful events, so the dog was at the center of the day's activities, even serving as Parrott's flower girl.

As it was a special event, Bella walked down the aisle decked out in a pink tutu.
