FBI Investigating Credible ISIS Threats Against UFC Fighter Tim Kennedy

UFC-fighter and former Green Beret sniper Tim Kennedy has been interviewed by the FBI after receiving 'credible threats' from ISIS, according to his Facebook page.

Kennedy, 36, wrote in a post on the social media site stating, "Just spoke to the FBI regarding some recent credible threats towards me by #ISIS." The military veteran went on to deliver a powerful rebuttal to the terrorists stating, "Let those cowards come."

He had a similar message in an interview with Fox News over the weekend, calling them, "a bunch of impotent, feeble, pathetic killers that were just trying to be tough guys online. They were tough guys to the wrong dude."

The FBI reached out to Kennedy on Wednesday, according to USAToday, who also reported that the fighter was asked by the FBI, "Are you aware of this stuff?"

"I'm kind of desensitized to this stuff, so maybe you should tell me what my level of alarm should be," Kennedy responded.

This type of abuse is all too common for the middleweight fighter who claims he receives multiple threats each day through social media.

"Apparently a couple of them were legitimate in trying to, from what the FBI said, plan stuff," Kennedy added. Kennedy holds a career record of 18–5–0 and is the sixth-ranked UFC fighter in the middleweight division.
