Adorable Penguins Explore Their New Home at the Detroit Zoo After Flying FedEx

By Buzz60

Birds of a feather fly first class together! Twenty penguins flew via FedEx and landed at the Detroit Zoo to join its Penguin Conservation Center.

Ten male and 10 female penguins boarded an aircraft from San Diego to Detroit where handlers welcomed them with open wings. The flock happily explores its new surroundings by checking out every nook and cranny.

This just one of the firsts these birds are about to encounter. Add "cameras in your face" to that list.

In the video above you can see the penguins in a special quarantined area the zoo calls its "Penguinarium."

The 20 gentoos will join the colony of king, rockhopper and macaroni penguins when the conservation center opens next year.
