President Obama is keeping fit this holiday season.

POTUS landed in his home state of Hawaii on Saturday and instead of sipping mai tais and relaxing on the beach, he went on one of the most grueling hikes on Oahu at Koko Head Crater. The 1,048-step hike is extremely popular with locals looking for a workout and Obama fit right in as he climbed to the top clad in a black T-shirt, black sweatpants and a ball cap. First Lady Michelle Obama was also present on the hike.

Naturally, bystanders hiking the popular path couldn't help but stop and snap a photo with the President. Several lucky hikers even got a video of the President where he wished them a "Merry Christmas."

The first family has been busy since they touched down in the Aloha State. Earlier this week the Commander-in-Chief went golfing in Kailua and sunk a 40-foot-chip. The family is staying at a posh abode in Kailua, Hawaii, which overlooks the ocean.

It's safe to say the first family is enjoying some rest and relaxation this holiday season.
