Bear unwittingly hitches a ride in dumpster truck
One very hungry bear in California hitched a ride in a dumpster truck.
The bear, named Cinnamon by locals, was rummaging through a garbage bin when he was accidentally loaded onto a garbage truck.
"About halfway down the mountains, my truck is going from side to side and, you know, I'm thinking it's the road," said the driver. "Not knowing, I have a bear inside of my compactor. When I dumped the container I seen all of the employees running. Okay? Still not knowing, I pulled forward about ten feet and stopped, I seen Cinnamon running across the parking lot."
Cinnamon was tranquilized and taken back to the forest.
"They should be hibernating this year," said biologist Dan Fidler. "Food is hard to come by; so they do have a tendency to roam a little more this year."
