When you're in the year's biggest movie -- actually, make that the decade's biggest movie -- you need to pull out all the stops while promoting it.

And our beloved Lupita Nyong'o more than delivered, wearing silver Alexandre Vauthier Couture at the "Star Wars" premiere on Monday night. The film, directed by JJ Abrams, opens Friday.

We hit up her makeup artist, Nick Barose, to get the scoop on her look -- think winged cat eyes combined with a scarlet lip in Lancome L'Absolu Rouge in Absolute Rouge.

"It was a super-glamorous moment to get her ready for the red carpet," says Barose.

No kidding.

"We went all out with the make up since when with a sparkling dress like that you have to keep the face festive too," he says. "We added a futuristic twist by tying in metallic silver details on the eyes and as highlighter on cheeks tto play up the sparkles and shine in the dress."
