Men captured on surveillance footage stealing 190 Christmas trees
Police are on the hunt for men caught on surveillance footage stealing 190 Christmas trees from a shop.
Authorities in Manchester, England released the video in a bid to catch the grinches.
See the heinous act:
The group was filmed raiding the Khawja Brothers Mini Market in Chorlton on November 28 and again two days later, before stuffing Christmas trees inside a van and taking off.
Police say the van was later seen selling Christmas trees in the town.
Shop worker Saqib Shabbir, 33, said: "I don't know how somebody could do this so close to Christmas - it is heart breaking," the Sun reported.
"My biggest worry is our loyal customers who buy trees from us every year may not be able to do that this Christmas, and could be left without a tree," he said.
Detective Constable Trudy Lindsey said in a statement: "The shop owners were devastated to discover that 190 of their Christmas trees had been stolen. This is their livelihood and the offenders selfishly put their business in jeopardy."
She continued: "The van has been spotted in Chorlton since, offering people Christmas trees. If you are offered one to buy I would ask that you contact police immediately."
Manchester Police asks anyone to contact them if they recognize the men in the footage.
