Homeowner gets revenge on package thieves with a box full of dog poop

A Las Vegas man decided to get back at someone stealing packages from his front porch by tricking them into swiping a box filled with dog poop.

Fed up with the number of porch package thefts in his Nevada neighborhood, Eric Burdo decided to get his revenge.

"One day I kind of just thought about cleaning up the poop and putting it in a box and that's what I did," Burdo told KTNV-TV.

He put a "special package" on his porch on December 6 as bait and four days later it was stolen in the middle of the afternoon.

The thief and his accomplice were caught on two of Burdo's home security cameras.

"I was kind of excited and I just kept replaying it," Burdo said of his security footage. "I just kind of wanted to give them back something."

Burdo says he hopes the thieves have learned their lesson and will stay away from his house.
