Liverpool: Klopp Bemoans Latest Daniel Sturridge Injury Blow

Wow. In a crucial home match with West Bromich Albion, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool found themselves down 2-1 after 90 minutes. Thankfully for them, Klopp had a little magic on the bench in the form of youngster Divock Origi. Turning to the Belgian late in the game, Klopp was hoping for something to ignite his side after a lackluster performance.

After recent good results and Manchester City and Arsenal struggling to put a run of wins together, Liverpool had an outside shot of winning the league, if they themselves could find some form. However, Tony Pulis sides are always tough to beat, and so it proved. After Jordan Henderson headed Liverpool into the lead midway through the first half, a Simon Mignolet howler gave West Brom hope that this could be their day.

During a nerve-wracking second half a Jonas Olsson header gave the Baggies the lead, and they looked as though they may see it through to secure a surprising, but most welcome, three points. As Liverpool pressed and pressed in the closing stages, West Brom dropped deeper and deeper.

Unfortunately, that was their downfall, as they allowed Origi to collect the ball, drive towards the West Brom box and take a speculative shot from nearly 25 yards out. Deflecting off a West Brom defender, the ball spiraled over Myhill's head and into the corner, sending Anfield mad. What a finish to a truly great game.
