A look backstage at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular

Updated

The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, hosted annually at the Radio City Music Hall since 1933, is one of New York's most popular Christmas traditions. Featuring more than 140 performers and an original musical score, the performance combines singing, dancing and humor into a 90-minute show.

The Christmas Spectacular's star performers, known as the Rockettes, show off their signature chorus line leg kick in perfect unison for five shows a day, seven days a week. Performances take place in 2015 from November 13, 2015 through January 3, 2016.

In the gallery above, photographer Timothy A. Clary captured a behind-the-scenes look at what the truly spectacular Spectacular looks like from the other side of the curtain.
