Anonymous woman pays off strangers' $20K Toys R Us layaways

'Tis the season of surprise Christmas layaway payoffs -- and it's already starting.

An anonymous good Samaritan dubbed the "layaway angel" paid off $20,000 worth of other people's layaways at a Toys R Us in Massachusetts.

"I said, 'I'm really sorry; I don't understand." And she said 'Someone came in and paid off all the layaways.' And so, my eyes filled with tears ... and I just thought that good news needs to be shared," a woman told WFXT.

WFXT reports it's the same anonymous woman who did the same good deed last year.

Layaway payoffs seem to pop-up every holiday season. At this Burlington Coat Factory in Virginia, several layaway angels showed up to take care of business.

And Massachusetts must be a giving state. In Boston, a woman walked into a thrift store and paid off all unpaid layaway orders for $345.66.
