OnlyOnAOL: Supermodel Behati Prinsloo works up an appetite

Behati Prinsloo, the Namibian-born supermodel married to Adam Levine, has walked down every major runway. And she's a veteran of the Victoria's Secret fashion show, wearing those 25-pound wings when she sashays down the catwalk for the ninth time this year.

She never quite envisioned her career trajectory.

"I was always such a tomboy. I didn't even imagine I'd get picked. I was in New York when I went to the casting for the show. My agency called me that day to say I got it," she says. "I opened the show last year."

In her regular life, she does not travel with a glam squad.

"If it's for an event, I'll get dressy. On an everyday basis, I'm chill – jeans and T-shirts, with very minimal makeup, maybe mascara," she says.

And while she gets recognized, "depending on where you are and where you're going, I can go and walk around and it will be kind of fine."

She and Levine got hitched on July 19, 2014 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and never sold or released wedding photos. Given that their combined celebrity wattage is fairly blinding, they try and keep things vague when discussing each other. When she's not working, says Prinsloo, she's a homebody who likes to hang with her hubby, go on hikes and cook.

"I've just learned how to make roast chicken with all the vegetables. I like making stir fry and pasta," she says.

Wait, what? A model who eats -- can it be?

Prinsloo looks exasperated. "Surprisingly, I do eat. What a shocker," she says.
