Nevada Politician Features Her Gun-Toting Family In Christmas Card

A Nevada lawmaker has posted her family Christmas photo to Facebook and, in addition to the festive red shirts, everyone (including a young boy) is holding a gun.

Michele Fiore, a Republican assemblywomen, also included a message in the post just in case the firearms didn't make it clear.

"It's up to Americans to protect America," Fiore wrote Monday. "We're just your ordinary American family. With love & liberty, Michele"

Seven guns appear in the photo, one for every family member too old to be held by his or her mother.

The model of each gun is also listed alongside the name of family member.

Jake, who appears to be no older than 6 or 7, holds a Walther p22, according to the caption.

The assemblywoman herself holds a Serbu Super Shorty, 12-gauge shotgun with a pistol grip.

Below the heavily armed family, the text reads: "Merry Christas. From My family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays."

As Talking Points Memo notes, Fiore is a staunch defender of the 2nd Amendment.

Fiore's campaign website even features a "Walk the Talk Second Amendment Calendar" that shows the assemblywoman holding a different firearm every month.

Anyone who donates $25 or more to Fiore's 2016 campaign receives one of the calendars, according to the site.
