The final sales figures are in for the second week of Adele's 25. Nielsen Music reports that it sold 1.11 million in pure album sales in the seven days ending Dec. 3 in the U.S.
As earlier reported, 25 is now the first album to sell a million copies in two different weeks since Nielsen began tracking point-of-sale purchases in 1991.

In its first two weeks on sale, 25 has sold a whopping 4.49 million copies. The set debuted with a record-breaking 3.38 million sold in its first week.
In addition, 25 will easily spend a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Dec. 19).
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the chart is scheduled to be announced on Dec. 6, along with 25's total consumption figure for the week.
25 was released on Nov. 20 through XL Recordings/Columbia Records. It is Adele's third studio album, and follows her blockbuster 21 effort. The latter title spent 24 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and ruled as the top selling album of both 2011 and 2012.
