Residents of California's Marin County are on the lookout after a recent rash of squirrel attacks.

Health officials have received numerous calls about the incidents.

According to the Marin Humane Society, all of the attacks have occurred near one specific intersection.

In a statement, they said, "The attacks are described as a squirrel suddenly running up to the victims, crawling up their bodies, and biting them in various areas."

And it gets worse. One squirrel entered an elementary school and bit both a teacher and a student before being caught by the janitor. But the sneaky devil got loose and fled the scene.

Other attacks include the furry critters jumping out of trees and onto their victims. In total, almost ten people have been injured, one ending in a trip to the emergency room.

The town is advising its citizens not to feed wildlife and remove bird feeders from their yards.

Beyond that, investigators are taking each call seriously and think the attacks could be linked to one individual squirrel.

They say it was likely once a pet that has lost its natural fear of humans.

Still, that squirrel needs to cool it, unless he wants to ruin it for all of his squirrel friends.
