Deric White, a 68-year-old man from London is making headlines after fighting against Apple...victoriously.

White brought his iPhone to be serviced at the Apple flagship store on London's Regent Street in December of last year. After getting it back from servicing, he discovered the Apple employees had erased everything on his phone (reportedly without asking him if he'd backed it up).
White and his wife were upset by the whole ordeal, but most devastated at the lost of all memory from their 2014 honeymoon to the Seychelles. %shareLinks-quote="I did this for the common man. I would say to anybody who has got a gripe with Apple, don't let them boss you about and ignore you...It's not so much the money that I have won, but it's the moral victory." type="quote" author="Deric White" authordesc="The Evening Standard" isquoteoftheday="false"% Although it was a long fight that took twelve months to settle in court, White eventually won, and was granted £2,000 (about $3,000).
To make this entire experience a positive one in the end, White says he will use the money to take another vacation with his wife. This time, we're sure he'll pay extra attention to back up every single photo and video (as we should all remember to do)!
