Marine Forced To Stand Outside In Rain To Collect Toys For Tots At Walmart

MEDINA, OH (WJW) - It's the story that has people taking to social media by the thousands -- a picture of a Marine collecting for "Toys for Tots" who was asked to stand outside a Walmart in the rain.

Fox 8's Jack Shea spoke with John Harkness, the Marine at the center of this story, and although he was disappointed to not be able to collect inside the store, as he had been allowed in the past, he says his number one priority in all of this is to keep helping children in need.

Fox 8 has teamed up with John Harkness in a very special way: on Thursday, December 3, he will be right outside the studios collecting money for "Toys for Tots." Click here to find out how you can meet John and help out a great cause.
