Justin Bieber Drops out of 'Late Show' Taping, Thanksgiving Day Parade

Justin Bieber won't be celebrating Thanksgiving in New York City after all.

The Purpose singer canceled both his appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and his performance in The Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS.

Production sources tell ET that the 21-year-old pop star was scheduled to shoot his parade performance on Tuesday evening in New York City after appearing on The Late Show, but abruptly canceled both for undisclosed personal reasons.

ET has reached out to CBS and Bieber's rep for additional details, but the singer did tweet about not showing up to The Late Show.

"My apologies to @colbertlateshow as I won't be able to make it to NYC tomorrow for the show," the "Sorry" singer socialed on Tuesday. "I look forward to making it up to you soon."

He also tweeted at Colbert, writing: "@StephenAtHome, thank you for the understanding as sometimes life kicks our a** and we need to deal with it. I will see u soon. Thank you."

It's still unclear if these cancellations will impact Bieber's other slated appearances, including a performance on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, which will air on ABC.

Regardless, the show will go on without the heartthrob. Hosted by ET's Kevin Frazier, the holiday special will feature portions from the 89th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, as well as performances by Broadway productions of Jersey Boys and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.

Several celebrities are also expected to drop by during the parade, including Kinky Boots star Wayne Brady, The Good Wife's Renee Elise Goldsberry,George Takei and model Taylor Hill.

The Thanksgiving Day Parade will be air live from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET on CBS.
