Donald Trump has just been compared to Ernest Hemingway.

The Republican presidential candidate and reality star said he was once compared to the classic writer during a forum at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Friday. "Somebody said I'm the Ernest Hemingway of 140 characters," said Trump. "Can you believe that? I was actually given that credit?"

Trump continued in saying how he channels his feelings through social media. "It's like owning the NY times without the losses. It's tremendous. It gives you a lot of power. If something says something bad about you in the old days I'd go 'ooh I'm going to get that guy.' Now I just say 'oh he said something bad bing bing bing (as if typing on Twitter) say something really bad about that and all of a sudden, it's amazing."

In light of the recent Paris attacks, Trump also commented on ISIS's social media impact.

"ISIS has really done incredibly well with the whole social media thing beyond anybody probably ever and it and it was our baby. We're the ones that developed it and founded it and birthed it. We're the ones that did it and ISIS is the one that has really taken it and they've brought it to a new level.."
