Celine Dion Will Perform Tribute to Paris Victims at American Music Awards

In tribute to the victims of last week's attacks in Paris, dick clark productions and ABC have announced that Celine Dion will perform a "special rendition" of Edith Piaf's "Hymne à L'Amour" at the 2015 American Music Awards on Nov. 17.

Who Will Win at the 2015 AMAs? Our Predictions

"We felt it was important to show our solidarity in light of the recent events in Paris and all around the world," AMA producer Larry Klein said in a statement. "Celine's performance will help us express our feelings through song, when words do not suffice."

"Hymne à L'Amour" was written by Piaf about the great love of her life, boxer Marcel Cerdan. Piaf first performed the song in New York in 1949, a month before Cerdan was killed in a plane crash en route from Paris to New York to visit her. Dion will be singing the song in French.

The awards show will air this Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC with host Jennifer Lopez. Other performers will include Justin Bieber, 5 Seconds of Summer, Ariana Grande, Coldplay, Gwen Stefani and The Weeknd.
