O'Dea had a friend who was in desperate need of a kidney, and after one date, Thomas was willing to donate one of hers to a complete stranger.

Thomas felt inspired after O'Dea mentioned that he runs to raise money for the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation.

"I feel like a better person," Thomas said. "I feel like I've discovered why I'm here."

The two haven't said if they'll continue to date, but Thomas donated her kidney Wednesday morning.
