AOL.com #GivingTuesday Week 1 winner: Feeding America

Updated

Leading up to #GivingTuesday, the AOL team is giving readers a chance to vote for the organizations they want to see featured on the homepage.

Last week, thousands of readers voted between five charities and asked that 'Feeding America' be the AOL promoted charity of the week.

Feeding America will appear on AOL.com for a final poll on November 30. The final organization with the most votes will be promoted again on AOL.com, this time on #GivingTuesday. We're excited to provide our support and help champion our nonprofit partners' messages!

Feeding America is the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization. The nonprofit serves over 46 million Americans in need each year, supporting virtually every community in the United States through a nationwide network of food banks and meal programs. In the U.S. today, one in five kids faces hunger -- that's more than 15 million kids across the country. Feeding America works with advocates, corporate partners and individual supporters to help end hunger in the United States.
