Pop singer JoJo has shared an emotional tribute to her father, who died on Saturday, Nov. 14 at the age of 60. The artist posted an Instagram photo of her dad giving her a big hug as a child, along with a touching note.

"I missed you even while you were here," the 24-year-old wrote. "I will miss you infinitely more now that you're gone. Thank you for holding on as long as you did. I know you tried your best."

JoJo, whose real name is Joanna Levesque, made a comeback this summer, releasing three new singles nearly a decade after the release of her sophomore album, The High Road. She had previously been locked in a longstanding legal battle with her former label Blackground Records.
