Police: 'We Know Who Killed' The Pastor's Pregnant Wife

Police on Friday told the person who fatally shot a pastor's wife: "We are coming."

Amanda Blackburn, 28, was shot in the head during a home invasion on Tuesday, reportedly as she tried to defend her one-year-old son, Weston. Amanda passed away on Thursday. She was 12 weeks pregnant with their second child, according to friends and family.

At a news conference on Friday, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the fatal shooting was connected to a robbery that unfolded two homes away just three hours earlier. Another home invasion was reported about 10 miles away, police said.

This little dude. 💋💋💋
This last year I have fallen more in love with my beautiful wife, @amandagblackburn than I ever imagined I could love someone . . . I'm so incredibly grateful to The Lord that 28 years ago he brought her into this world and orchestrated our lives to intertwine. She is my best friend, my confidante, my rock, and the lift behind God's call on my life. I truly cannot imagine doing life without her. Happy Birthday to the greatest wife on planet earth, the greatest mom any husband could hope for for his kids and the Godliest woman I know!

Police said they have surveillance footage of a person, who is wearing a hoodie, outside the home. A dark SUV was also reported in the area, police said.

"We know the person caught on camera standing outside the home is the one who murdered Amanda," Indianapolis police Major Eric Hinch said.

"To the individual who committed this crime: You are not as good as you think you are," Hinch said.

Doug Carter of the Indiana State Police added: "For those responsible for killing Amanda: We are coming. We are coming."

Amanda's husband, Davey, was at the gym at the time and returned home to find his injured wife around 8.30 am. Police have said he is not a suspect.

The couple's one-year-old son was home at the time of the shooting, but he was not hurt, police said.

The young family had recently moved to the area, where Davey Blackburn serves as Pastor of Resonate Church, cops said.

"It's impossible to communicate all the emotions my heart has been forced to process. My wife was such a beautiful, gracious, loving woman of God. I have not only lost my ministry partner and support but also my very best friend," Davey Blackburn said in a statement on the church's website.

"There is no way to prepare yourself for circumstances like these. As deeply as I am hurting I am hopeful and confident that good things will come of this."
