Earlier this week, we watched as Veterans Day was commemorated countrywide, with moments of silence and marches occurring in major cities as well as on smaller scales. We also saw the devastation caused by two burst dams in Brazil, President Obama awarding just the tenth Medal of Honor, and violence from ongoing conflicts in both Syria and Gaza.
