Mariah Carey reportedly scores role in 'The Lego Batman Movie'

Mariah Carey may be the Commander-in-Chief of the Lambily, but she's reportedly taking on another boss role.

According to Deadline, Mimi is in talks to play Commissioner Gordon in The Lego Batman Movie. The building block franchise has already tapped a who's who of Hollywood's finest including Ralph Fiennes as Alfred the Butler, Will Arnett as Batman, Michael Cera as Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker.

Carey already holds a stacked IMDB track record with contributions to films like Lee Daniels' The Butler, Precious and Glitter. Billboard has reached out to a rep for comment.

While there's no word if the role will involve her singing pipes, the high note-slayer's next film project is behind the camera, directing the upcoming Hallmark film A Christmas Melody.
