Miley Cyrus received the Vanguard Award from the LGBT Center over the weekend (Nov. 7) in honor of the work she's done with her Happy Hippie Foundation to promote the welfare of LGBT youth -- but her philanthropic tendencies became a little more eclectic at the gala itself.
While helping Linda Perry auction off a white grand piano (all to benefit the Center), Cyrus came up with an original way to add value to the already-autographed instrument: by licking it.
See Miley (and her tongue) through the years:
Once Cyrus licked the piano, it ended up selling for $50,000. "I want all of you to know that I feel beyond grateful to be in a room full of so many ... people who care so much about others because unfortunately that is way too rare in the world that we live in today," Cyrus told the audience after accepting her award.
