Grab the Kleenex -- Sam Smith just covered Amy Winehouse's heart-wrenching ballad, "Love Is A Losing Game."

The U.K. sensation stopped by Annie Mac's BBC 1 Radio show on Thursday, Nov. 5, and delivered his beautifully emotional rendition of the late songstress' heartbreak anthem.

"Sometimes people forget my age, I think. I was 11 years old when [the Amy Winehouse 2003 debut] Frank came out and that album has really shaped me as an artist and my views on music and my relationship with music, lyrically," Smith explains, noting that he recently watched the Amy film.

He added, "That lyric 'Love Is A Losing Game' is possibly one of the most relatable lyrics I've ever heard."

This isn't the first time Smith has laid his vocals on a Winehouse original. Earlier this year, he covered the Back To Black standout "Tears Dry On Their Own" at Lollapalooza.

As for his own ventures, Smith will be reissuing the deluxe version of his chart-topping 2014 debut, In the Lonely Hour, reportedly set to include the new Winehouse cover and his new single "Drowning Shadows."
