Remember Miranda from 'Lizzie McGuire?' See what she's up to now

Who could forget "Lizzie McGuire?" Arguably one of the greatest Disney creations of all time, Hilary Duff and her spunky friends navigated through the awkward times of adolescence, one funny mishap after another.

While Hilary Duff certainly kept her place in the limelight, her funky best friend in the show, Miranda, (aka Lalaine Vergara-Paras) has kept a dramatically lower profile.

In 2003, as "Lizzie McGuire" neared its end, Lalaine began to pursue a music career. She released an album, and signed a record deal with Warner Bros. Records.

Unfortunately, things took a "crazy" turn from there. During what Lalaine calls her "dark years" in 2007, she pled guilty to possession of crystal meth; which was removed from her record after she completed a drug treatment program.

Nowadays, Lalaine is living a more relaxed life. In a recent interview with HuffPost, she says "I'm just more on the relaxed side of things. I hold a job down to pay the bills, and I've been doing all these random little projects."



Lalaine makes it a point to graciously thank fans who have been there from the beginning, something she says she sincerely appreciates.
