The 2015 CMA Awards promised great duets, and they got started early -- the opening minutes, to be specific.

Before Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood even addressed the crowd, John Mellencamp hit the stage for an acoustic performance of his 1983 classic "Pink Houses."

But that wasn't all! Keith Urban joined in, as the song went electric.

Urban and Eric Church's "Raise 'Em Up" won the 2015 CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year.
