A couple in California celebrated their engagement in a less-than-traditional way.
When Lucas Unger popped the question to his then-girlfriend Carlee Leifkes on Halloween, he knew he had to be unique.

The nontraditional duo, who met at a Canadian music festival, told Buzzfeed News that they came up with the idea for the ring together. Unger, who moved to Canada to be with the woman of his dreams, had his father mail the pair one of Unger's removed wisdom teeth. The couple then took it to a jeweler to make something distinctive out of it.

Despite the couple coming up with idea together initially, Leifkes had no idea what the ring looked like until the moment Unger got down on one knee in front of their loved ones on Saturday.
When friends and family heard about the ring, Leifkes said no one was really surprised.

She also said that having the tooth as the ring means more to her than any diamond ever could.

As for the details of the actual wedding? Leifkes, who is currently recovering from a broken leg, told Buzzfeed News that they will tie the knot in Las Vegas later this month.
