#ThisIsAOL: How to Garner Jen's grace and glamour
BY DONNA FREYDKIN
Yes, her personal life, and her split from husband Ben Affleck, has been topping tabloid headlines.
But you'd never know it from looking at Jennifer Garner.
The mom of three stepped out to the annual American Cinematheque gala honoring Reese Witherspoon the day before Halloween. And forget trickery: the lady was a treat. After all, as the late, great Joan Rivers told this writer. there's nothing in life that a little lipstick and a nice dress can't fix -- or at least, improve (spoiler alert: she was right).

We consulted with her makeup artist, Fiona Stiles, about Garner's look. It was all about choices.
"There were two possible dress options that were wildly different. She wasn't sure which one she wanted to wear before we started the makeup so I did makeup that I thought would be fresh and pretty for either dress. I love pretty skin and soft, defined eyes with a neutral lip on Jen. I am usually doing some variation on that look while occasionally mixing it up," says Stiles.
Garner was pretty in pink Valentino, one of Hollywood's go-to fashion houses. She's just as great underneath it all.
"She is beautiful woman inside and out and I am always, always, always so happy to see her. I consider myself very lucky to know her and unbelievably fortunate to get to work with such a kind, talented, funny and caring person," says Stiles.
Her guide to doing up the Neutrogena spokesmodel:
The actress needs minimum foundation, so Stiles goes with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Foundation in Natural Beige and "a touch of concealer here and there. After a touch of powder I sweep a little blush on the apples of her cheeks."
"I like to start with a swirl of bronzer (Neutrogena blush in Sunkissed) and then a swirl of blush (Neutrogena blush in Petal) on top of that so that it looks warm, healthy and believable."
Stiles grooms the brows, and then sweeps a pale bone-colored shadow on the lid. She follows that up by "smudging a warm brown shade into the creases and the outer corners of the eye: Neutrogena Eye Shadow Palette with Primer on Soft Taupe."
The eyes have it. "After curling the lashes I used a few coats of black mascara (Neutrogena Healthy Lengths Mascara). For a lush, neutral lip I used a luscious warm peachy nude (Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Juicy Peach)."
