Fab or flop: Victoria Beckham's bright red pants, Gwen Stefani's hot pink mini dress and more

As stars stepped out to stroll down 5th Avenue in NYC or Beverly Hills Boulevard this week, they all put forth their best efforts to sport fall's hottest fashion trends. We saw many celebs in extra-long pea-coats and robe coats, pointed toe booties, bucket bags and leather leggings.

We especially loved Victoria Beckham's red pants (similar style here), gray and pink long pea-coat and white blouse. While Beckham tends to stray away from bright colors, it was refreshing to see her work such a bold ensemble - and to see her pull it off perfectly. Her slightly high-waisted pants complimented the crisp white blouse and her open-toe black heels were the perfect choice to accompany the look. Her coat is also one of our favorites we've seen this season! We also loved Demi Lovato's look in a high-waisted white and black skirt and a gorgeous fall coat (get the look here). What makes her look stand out are the accessories she paired with it. The pointed toe, patent leather pumps and oversized clutch (similar style here) add an extremely classy vibe to the ensemble.

As for flops, the biggest style mistake we saw celebs making this week was pairing staple pieces that don't quite work together. While we don't mind Gwen Stefani's hot pink dress, her black tights and black leather jacket don't suit it. Similarly, we don't have much of an issue with Olivia Wilde's green jumpsuit or her blue leather jacket, we just don't think they should be paired together.
