5 reasons we love Jared Padalecki in honor of the 'Gilmore Girls' reunion

Netflix is bringing back the beloved show "Gilmore Girls" in four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies — and needless to say, plenty of fans of the Amy Sherman-Palladino show are excited.

Jared Padalecki played main character Rory's first love, Dean Forester, in the popular franchise. Although Dean was not perfect in his relationship with Rory, few people could resist young Jared's smile and adorable haircut.

2. He's in the business of helping people

Not only does he help people on his hit show "Supernatural," in real life, he launched a successful campaign "Always Keep Fighting" this year to combat depression and promote the mental health awareness.

4. He has an incredible friendship with his co-star

Jared's friendship with Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean Winchester in "Supernatural," has been going strong for 10 years. Just like the show, the friendship continues.
