Officials were able to subdue the animal after it wandered about 20 feet down the hospital's corridor.

Authorities from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said that two of its officers were already on the scene at the hospital when the incident occurred. Along with public safety officers from the hospital, the law enforcement officials were able to strap the deer onto a gurney and wheel the injured animal to the parking lot.

""They strapped it to a gurney and wheeled it across the parking lot," spokesman for the sherrif's office, Cpl. John Helfer, told The Democrat and Chronicle.

One of the officers euthanized the injured deer in the parking lot.

No one else was injured in the incident.
