The glorious Balmain x H&M lookbook has arrived

In May 2015, renowned Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing hit the Billboard Music Awards red carpet alongside two of his favorite #BalmainArmy members Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunnto to announce a new partnership with H&M.
Now, after months of anticipation, the Balmain x H&M lookbook has finally been unveiled. As the designs won't be available to purchase until November 5, the glorious lookbook, featuring bold style staples with fierce embellishments, has shoppers eagerly anticipating the morning on which they can finally purchase items from the most highly-anticipated collection of the year.
The looks seem to emulate Balmain's military-inspired vibe without the all-over glitz of Balmain's Fall 2015. Thus, the collection caters to both H&M and Balmain consumers, making for the perfect #HMBalmaination collaboration.

While the collection includes fall's hottest leather, fur and suede trends, many pieces stand out with surprisingly chic satin as well as pearl and rope embellishments. It seems gold is the name of the game with this collection as almost every look features gold buttons, belts, bangles and clutches.

Olivier spoke to Vogue about the inspiration behind the looks. As the military theme achieves a sense of empowerment and strength throughout the collection, the added cropped fur jackets, bold red details and cinched waists add an element of sexiness, giving the models a look of fierce confidence. Olivier said:

The campaign, complete with new pieces for both the men's and women's collections, was shot by Mario Sorrenti. #HMBalmaination will be available November 5 at 250 stores worldwide and online.
