John Stamos Charged with DUI, Could Face Jail Time



Things are not looking good for John Stamos.

The "Fuller House" actor and producer was charged with one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. Stamos will be arraigned Friday at 8:30 a.m., and if convicted, he could face up to six months of jail time.

ET previously reported that Stamos was arrested and cited for driving under the influence on June 12, after the Beverly Hills Police Department received numerous calls reporting a suspicious DUI driver near Canon Drive and Brighton Way.

The police said that they stopped the 52-year-old actor and transported him to a local hospital for further observation. He was arrested after it was determined he was in fact under the influence.

A month later, ET learned that the 52-year-old actor was in rehab for substance abuse after pulled out of an Emmys Nominations co-hosting gig.

The actor took to Twitter after his month-long stint, however, to let fans know he was doing just fine.


Stamos is currently back to work on his FOX comedy, "Grandfathered," as well as Fuller House, the highly anticipated 13 episode series reboot of "Full House," which will stream on Netflix next year. While he was in rehab, ET chatted with Stamos' co-star Candace Cameron Bure, who poured out support for her on-screen uncle.
