On October 11, 1975, the comedy institution known as "Saturday Night Live" was born. Conceived from the brain child of Lorne Michaels, the sketch comedy show became the go to for comedy lovers everywhere.

Currently in their 41st season and celebrating 40 years to the day, "Saturday Night Live" has seen it's far share of amazing talent walk through the halls of 8H. To have to narrow down favorites from the cast is very, very hard...but someone has to do it.

We've decided to make a list of our favorite SNL alums and see what they're up to now. In no particular order, enjoy some of the best cast members from the past 41 seasons of "Saturday Night Live."

1.) Chevy Chase (1975-1976)
Memorable sketches: "Weekend Update," "Landshark"
Post career: His films in the 80's will live on forever like "National Lampoon's Vacation," "Fletch," and "Caddyshack." Most recently, he reprised Clark Griswold for the "Vacation" reboot.



2.) Eddie Murphy (1980-1984)
Memorable sketches: "Mister Robinson's Neighborhood," "Gumby," "James Brown's Celebrity Hot Tub Party"
Post career: Murphy had his fair share of hilarious movies, and it was just announced that a Netflix movie starring the SNL alum is currently in the works.



3.) Gilda Radner (1975-1980)
Memorable sketches: "Roseanne Roseannadanna," "Baba Wawa," "The Nerds"
Post career: Starred in a one woman show on Broadway and in movies like the "First Family," before she died from Ovarian cancer in 1989.



4.) John Belushi (1975-1979)
Memorable sketches: "Samurai Delicatessen," "The Blues Brothers," "Ludwig van Beethoven"
Post career: His career was just starting off with hit movies like "Animal House" and "The Blues Brothers," when he died of a drug overdose in 1982



5.) Bill Murray (1977-1980)
Memorable sketches:
"Nick the Lounge Singer," "The Nerds," "Family Feud."
Post career: Starring in movies like "Caddyshack," and "Groundhog Day," Murray became one of the most successful cast members from the early years.



6.) Tina Fey (2000-2006)
Memorable sketches:
"Weekend Update," "Sarah Palin"
Post career: She created and starred in the Emmy winning NBC show, "30 Rock" as well as writing the screenplay and starring in "Mean Girls." She currently stars in the movie "Sisters" alongside Amy Poehler out in December.



7.) Kristen Wiig (2005-2012)
Memorable sketches:
"Gilly," "Target Lady," "The Lawrence Welk Show," "The Suze Orman Show"
Post career: Starred in movies like "Bridesmaids," "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty "and "The Skeleton Twins" and can be next seen in the "Ghostbusters" reboot.



8.) Chris Farley (1990-1995)
Memorable sketches:
"The Gap Girls," "Matt Foley Motivational Speaker," "Chippendales Audition"
Post career: Starred in movies like "Black Sheep" and "Tommy Boy," until he died of a drug overdose in 1997.




9.) Molly Shannon (1995-2001)
Memorable sketches:
"NPR's Delicious Schweddy Balls," "Mary Katherine Gallagher"
Post career: She's appeared in Tina Fey's "30 Rock," "Talladega Nights," and most recently the revival of "Wet Hot American Summer."



10.) Will Ferrell (1995-2002)
Memorable sketches:
"More Cowbell," "Spartan Cheerleaders," "Celebrity Jeopardy"
Post career: With movies like "Elf," "Step Brothers" and "Old School," Will Ferrell has had a very impressive post-SNL career.
