While everyone knows that identity theft exists, many aren't aware of the detrimental effects such crimes can cause on the victims. Even when the theft is proven, it can take years for victims to regain their credit scores and unlock their savings. Several victims of identity theft took to Whisper, the popular app that provides an anonymous platform for people to share their most honest thoughts, to share shocking stories of identity theft.

It becomes extremely discouraging for people who spend their lives working hard:
