Lupita Nyong'o ices out the fashion police in winter white
BY DONNA FREYDKIN
Lancome spokeswoman Lupita Nyong'o isn't one to ever play it safe.
"Working with Lupita is a make up artist's dream because she encourages me to be artistic and we always have fun switching it up -- not always the same lipstick or eyeshadow so as an artist you really get inspired and keep it fun," says her glam guru Nick Barose.
Adds her stylist, Micaela Erlanger: "Lupita has to love what she has on, feel confident, and of course comfortable. It is a real collaboration, we bounce ideas around and all the details are talked about and thought out. We like lots of different designers- from emerging newbies to African brands to the big designer names and couture houses! The scope of interest is vast, yet we still look at it all with a very edited eye."
As for rules, please. No white after Labor Day? Ummm, whatever, style watchers.
She taped an appearance on "The View" on Oct. 1.
Later, Nyong'o arrived for her off-Broadway play "Eclipsed," at the Public Theater. And lo and behold, she toted her own garment bag. Way to keep it real, Oscar winner and star of the upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
