Baseball, skateboarding, surfing may be part of 2020 Olympics
Things change for the Olympics too. While the games have followed a very traditional trajectory since their founding in ancient Greece, sports kept evolving and generating new disciplines. Olympic organizers realized the need to reconsider the realm of sports that are currently part of the games and review potential additions for the 2020 edition that will take place in Tokyo, Japan. According to Time, the finalists that are being considered are baseball/softball, karate, skateboarding, sport climbing and surfing.
The International Olympic Committee plans to make a final decision by next August, when they will define the 2020 program. The decision will also be based on the popularity of each sport in Japan, but which one would you pick?
