Toews: This Was the Best Defensive Effort We Had 'All Year'

Trick shots are one of the hot new trends on the internet. We've seen them primarily in basketball, though some football kickers in the NFL, collegiate and even high school ranks have made their own.

We don't see a lot of hockey trick shots however, and Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews just released one that has us wanting more.

The trick isn't elaborate, it's simple, but difficult. He doesn't shoot a puck off a really high point towards a goal, or shoot from range. Instead, he hits the net with the puck popping a water bottle up into the air.

He then follows it up with another shot that sails over the crossbar and nails the water bottle as it falls back to the ice. That seems easy, but it has to be incredibly difficult to pull off.

Check it out below:

The purpose of this video is to show off the new NEXUS 1N stick which Toews is using. It is a promotional video for Bauer, but still very entertaining and an impressive feat.
