NBA coach gives painfully awkward interview

Gregg Popovich Trolls NBA Reporter

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is notorious for his surly demeanor, especially in interviews. With training camp kicking off this week, he gave one of his first interviews of the season to NBA TV, and boy was it a doozy.

NBA TV's Jared Greenberg started off by asking Pop about his beard, which really got things off on the wrong foot. And it just got more awkward from there.

Thankfully for Greenberg, Popovich's cringeworthy responses were just a prank to get him "ready for the season." We have to say, he looked like he was in mid-season form here.

Greenberg was a good sport about it and even got a hug from the Spurs coach.
