This nervous dad-to-be dad writes unborn daughter the sweetest song
Becoming a first-time parent can come with plenty of stress and excitement. For musician William Pope, he is counting down the days until he gets to hold his little girl. The only problem? She is already five days past her due date.
As he patiently waits for his little princess to arrive, Pope decided to write a song for his unborn child.
"I wanted to wait, record with better quality, and do a little maintenance on the lyrics, but I couldn't wait any longer! My little girl is 5 days past her due date, and this little jingle is a summary of a lot of things that have been going through my mind. I hope that you enjoy listening to it as much as I've enjoyed putting it together!" he wrote on his Facebook page.
In the song, the soon-to-be father sings about how he's ready to embrace pink and bedazzled dresses, admitting he has a lot to learn.
"My little girl, I think I'm ready, but I'm not sure," he jokes, adding, "I don't need a shotgun or a rifle. Just patience and a Bible."
The heartfelt tune has an amazing message about he plans to be there through thick and thin and be there when she needs him. As the song closes, he has one final message for her daughter's future husband. Get ready to grab the tissues for this one. It's so sweet!
