This desk will never give you an excuse to return home after work. While the original design is meant to provide workers with a space for taking power naps during the day, this can easily turn into a trap. As a project for her master's degree at Columbia University, Athanasia Leivaditou designed and built a desk that turns into a napping station, which actually looks like a fairly comfortable bed that includes pillow, mattress, blankets and a TV set.

Researchers from the University of Michigan found that napping at work can actually increase productivity and can make the employee less impulsive or frustrated, and a variety of companies, especially in the tech industry, have implemented the use of nap pods.
