Woman freaks out after spotting spider in car, crashes into school bus

Woman Leaps from Moving Car After Spotting Spider

An Indiana woman is fine after leaping out of her car after she spotted a spider, causing a crash that injured her son, according to the Associated Press.

Authorities say that 35-year-old Angela Kipp was backing out of her driveway on Friday afternoon when she spotted the arachnid on her shoulder, causing her to freak out and jump out of the moving car while it was in reverse.

Her son, who was sitting in the backseat, tried to climb up towards the driver's seat and step on the brake, but hit the gas pedal instead, the Kosiusko County Sheriff's Department said. The car then hurled into a passing school bus.

No children or the driver of the school bus hit were injured in the crash. The 9-year-old son was taken to a nearby hospital with minor head injuries, but was otherwise in stable condition.
