Amy Schumer won the Emmy for her Comedy Central show, Inside Amy Schumer.

But you could say that her smoky eyes stole the show, after she thanked her makeup artist Andréa Tiller in her speech.

"I didn't even know she said that until I was headed back to my hotel after the skit with Amy. All of a sudden I started receiving a TON of social media notifications with the smoky eye statement. I first laughed to myself because I know Amy and it was such a random, funny comment. The response though was quite unexpected, I felt the love and I'm happy she loved her makeup! It was such a special night, so I'm glad she felt comfortable and beautiful," says Tiller.

As you might expect, Schumer has fun come Emmy time. "The vibe in the room was amazing, always is! Amy is so fun always making us laugh. This time Amy had her family around so we had a busy day for the start glamming all the girls up before we worked on Amy," says Tiller.

Her go-to line is Sisley, with Tiller giving her a mini facial using the brand's luxe products.

Day of, says Tiller, "I first used my favourite under eye de-puffer masks on Amy, Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels. These are ahhhmazing and really work in just 10 minutes. They also make the same products but for the forehead and smile lines which I also used on Amy. After I took the gel pads off I applied a quick hydrating mask on her, Sisley's Express Flower Gel.

That was followed up by Vintner's Daughter botanical serum, capped off Sisley Hydra-Global Intense Anti-Aging Hydration. "A good skin prep is a must for a beautiful makeup application!" says Tiller.

As for those now-famous smoky eyes, Tiller said they were prompted by Schumer's very dramatic Zac Posen frock.

"She had such an elegant dress, with an edgy hair do I wanted the makeup to also make a statement but in the more sexy glam way. For the twist I used an unexpected color pop on the waterline using a turquoise liner, similar to her dress color to tie the whole look together," she says.
